Front-End Web Developer

Position Description

We are seeking a skilled Front-End JavaScript Developer with a knack for intuitive UI design and the ability to work self-sufficiently.

This role will be focused on building a SaaS application to serve our customers in the financial services world. You’ll be working with data visualization, investments and financial information, and aim to create a clean, intuitive app for financial advisors that drives both adoption and engagement.

You will also support internal tools development, work to improve front-end usability, and help make Frontier more effective. Do know you'll work largely independently and work with both non-technical and technical teammates.

You should be capable of quickly adapting to instruction and iterating on UI designs to meet the dynamic needs of our projects. While the primary focus will be on front-end development, you must possess a foundational understanding of full-stack development, setting up environments, and following best practices.

Salary

$85,000 to $105,000, depending on experience

Location: Denver, CO or Sheridan, WY

Responsibilities

• Develop and iterate on intuitive user interfaces for our web projects
• Translate designs and wireframes into high-quality code
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
• Set up servers, configure hosting environments, and deploy front-end applications
• Collaborate with back-end developers and web designers to improve usability
• Maintain and improve web applications
• Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies

Qualifications

• Proven work experience as a Front-End Developer
• Solid experience with UI/UX design patterns, best practices
• Strong understanding of JavaScript, including current ES standards
• Proficient in front-end development tools and frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js)
• Familiarity with server-side CSS pre-processing platforms
• Experience with asynchronous request handling and partial page updates
• Basic knowledge of full-stack development (e.g., Node.js, Express)
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Clear and effective communication for both technical and non-technical colleagues
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multi-focused team
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or relevant field is preferred
